You Are Valuable

June 2, 2010

Every single person has value – value as a human, value as an individual, value as a friend, value as a child, value as a part of the community… the list can go on.

Sometimes we see the value in ourselves and sometimes we don’t. It may be a specific area of our lives where we just don’t see our value and for some people it’s an all-consuming issue where self-worth is not part of their thinking or inner feeling. Do you feel that you have value? Do you know it in your core? Do you see it sometimes or all the time?

I struggled with seeing it at all for most of my life. I can’t say why exactly. I could blame it on my childhood, I could blame it on my adoption. I could blame it on, I’m sure, a myriad of things. And to a degree, I’m sure all those things had an effect on my sub-conscious thinking about myself. And somewhere on an conscious level of thinking – and acting – I used to think I was worthless! And honestly, now I don’t care where any of it came from or why. I’m just happy I don’t think or feel that way, on any level, anymore!

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
